TIPS
If you are planning on making large amounts of
mushrooms, it is quicker to mass produce them rather
than building them one at a time. Lunch bags and
skewers usually come in quantities of 100. I build
100 at a time and sometimes have one person doing each
of the steps to save time.
A 33 gallon trash bag holds 100 mushrooms. Be very
careful when transporting them. The skewers stick out
of the bags and will stick in you if you are not
careful.
When planting your mushrooms, be careful. Don't force
them in the ground or you will break the skewers.
They should go straight up and down with the skewer
all the way in the ground. The skewer should not be
showing.
If your ground is hard use an awl or screwdriver to
make a hole in the ground.
